What this site is

An index of business software: what each product does, how it is priced, whether it has a free plan, and what it can be swapped for. The site also has comparison and alternatives pages, pricing research built from the same prices, a feed of AI and software-business headlines, and a weekly brief published on the web. None of it needs an account.

Prices and product details

Most entry prices are read by machine from the vendor's own pricing page, and those listings show the date the price was read. Where a page could not be read that way, the listing says the price is indicative.

Vendors change prices, plans and features at any time, so even a checked price is only true as of its date. Comparison pages and pricing research are built from the same figures and carry the same limit. Everything here is general information, not advice, and it is provided as is. Always confirm the price and the plan on the vendor's own site before you buy.

Advertising

Advertising on the site is labelled. The band above the content and the sponsor cards shown within a category are marked “Ad”. Places on the leaderboard, on the board and on the homepage, are marked “Paid placement” and ranked by the amount paid. The words in an ad are the advertiser's, and any product price it quotes comes from the index.

Advertising does not decide whether a product is listed or where it ranks in the index. The advertiser disclosure explains how the site makes money and what that does and does not change.

Buying a placement

What a placement costs, what it includes and how long it runs are stated before you pay: on the leaderboard for a bid, and in our reply for a sponsor spot. A leaderboard bid is a one-off payment in US dollars, and nothing appears on the board until it has cleared.

You are responsible for what your placement says and where it links. You must be entitled to promote the product, and the placement must be accurate and lawful. We may turn down, or take down, one that isn't.

Listing a product

Listing is free and cannot be bought. If you make or sell a product, you can submit it through the submission form. By submitting you confirm it is live and that you are allowed to represent it.

We decide what is listed, and we write, categorise and compare every entry ourselves. We may edit, decline or remove an entry at any time. If something about your product is wrong, use the same form and say it is a correction.

Other sites

Links out take you to the vendor's own site, or to the publisher of a news story. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control them or what they sell, say or charge. News headlines and summaries belong to the publishers that wrote them.

Names, logos and our content

The names, logos and trademarks of products and publishers belong to their owners and are shown here only to identify them. The entries we write, the research and the site's design belong to SaaS Dealer.

You are welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back. The price-change data is free to quote or republish with a link back, as its page says. A product that holds a Price Held award may show the badge and snippet offered on its page.

Using the site fairly

Reading the site with a crawler is fine if it follows robots.txt and does not slow the site down for anyone else. Please do not try to get into parts of the site that are not public, use its forms to send spam, or submit a product, correction or bid you have no right to make.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without any promise that it is complete, accurate or always available. To the extent the law allows, SaaS Dealer is not liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on it, including a price or plan that changed after we read it.

Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if that is more. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
